Stitch's Maya Jeans
Aged to Denim Perfection
Like a fine wine, Stitch's jeans aren't sold before their time. They're aged in redwood barrels for a deep, dark indigo wash. Then, cut long and lean, with just enough stretch blended with the 98% cotton to give them a sweet fit that's more slim than skin-tight.
I love my Maya jeans. They fit like a glove, but don't look or feel like skinny jeans (despite the picture above). The denim relaxes with wear, and I like the straight leg style. I also like the rise on these pants; low in front, higher in the back. So, I don't have to worry about my pants slipping off every time I sit down.
Stitch's has incorporated some original touches that make these jeans stand out from the others in my collection. They use real brass buttons (bearing the Native American head that was featured on nickel coins in the 1880s) on the rear pockets (just the right size pockets) and on the front of the pants. The thick blue stitching and the triple stitching along the inseam give the Maya jeans a rugged contrast to the feminine style and shape. No wonder they're the denim du jour of movie stars and jeans connoisseurs.
The Maya jeans are available in a variety of washes. My favorite is the boracho wash, a deep, dark indigo blue. Check the Stitch's website for retail locations.
