Evergreen Escapes is a Seattle-based day-tour company that's actively striving to be a sustainable business, starting with their use of biodiesel-fueled jeeps and vans. To that end, they refine their own biodiesel (called "second use"), to be more environmentally conscientious about fuel consumption.

In addition, Evergreen Escapes strives to partner with other sustainable-focused businesses such as eco-lodges that use recycled water and caterers who use mostly local and organic food. To reduce the use of plastic, they provide customers with reusable tumblers for hot and cold beverages for the duration of each trip and carry a large container of water for refills. A focus on their trips, in addition to fun adventures, is environmental education. Their naturalist guides can point out local flora and fauna and discuss issues affecting the environmental health of the region.
