Tsubo Edfu Shoe : Strappy Summer Fun That's Strong on Support

I was looking for a cute, yet comfortable, urban shoe that I could actually do some walking in, and Tsubo's Edfu is a perfect fit!

As soon as I slipped my feet in these shoes, I loved them. They're gorgeous, made out of top-quality leather, and they're a nice, sleek update to the classic Mary Jane style. Equally important, they provide enough support that I can wear them around town all day or all evening and my feet stay happy.

I like how the three straps are each secured by a Velcro strip that makes them quick and easy to put on or take off. What I really love about the Edfu are the small details that keep my feet safe and secure, such as the thin toe bumper and the leather mini heel (love that I can wear an open-heeled shoe that has just a bit of leather around the heel edge to keep my foot in place and debris and water out). I like the soles because they provide good traction on wet pavement -- something I've need this drizzly spring.

It's like the Edfu is a hybrid sandal/shoe. The light, thin straps and open heel give it a festive summer look and the slightly raised heel protector and other features give it the support I need to protect my feet. On cold days, I wear thin socks with them, and they still feel great and look cute. I've been wearing them mostly with jeans and pants, but can't wait to wear them with shorts and skirts in the warmer weather. The three black straps against a tan foot will look really sexy!

As for comfort...Tsubo's got me covered. The sole features large oval pads that are designed to absorb shock and the cushioned footbed (which is also perforated to help with ventilation) feels quite substantial. The footbed is also antibacterial, a nice feature for nights I'm out dancing or for times I need to pack these shoes in a suitcase or weekend bag.

I have the shoe in black, but it also comes in a glossy metallic silver. The insoles are bright pink, which makes them stand out from my other shoes in the closet. No need to turn the light on when I'm trying to find them!

The Edfu is made of quality materials, and I can clean the shoe easily with a damp paper towel. This lovely shoe will be my main travel footwear this summer because it's easy to pack, it goes with several different types of outfits, and it's extremely comfortable (even while walking on cobblestone streets).

Bottom Line: Love this shoe! Tsubo packs a lot of nice support features into the Edfu, and it does so in complete comfort and style.--N.S. (May '10)
