Terramar 100% Merino Wool Half-Zip Baselayer Top : Natural Comfort and Warmth

I'm new to gear testing, and to merino woo. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that Terramar's 100% Merino Wool Half-Zip baselayer top isn't itchy and that wool is actually a performance fiber!

I did a little research on merino wool, and found out that it's one of the softest wools. It also does a great job of wicking away moisture from my skin and keeping me warm even after my shirt has absorbed my sweat. Both features are important to me when I'm out in cold weather.

I'm an avid fisherman, so winter doesn't slow me down. I just make sure I dress appropriately. Now, my gear includes Terramar's Merino Wool Half-Zip baselayer top. It keeps me warm and dry in less than ideal fishing conditions. I seem to get a lot of warmth from just a thin wool layer, which is nice when I'm not moving around very much and when I have to stop moving to tie on different flies. This top also provides me with the stretch and flexibility I need for casting; it doesn't bunch or bind at the elbow, which is a common problem with many of the baselayers I've worn.

The Terramar Merino Wool Half-Zip baselayer top has been great at keeping my temperature regulated on long, hard, cross-country ski outings. It breaths well while wicking away my sweat, so I stay warm even I need to stop to take a drink of water. I like the half-zip style because I can unzip the top when I need to cool down. It also allows me to quickly slip it on and off over my head.    

I have been very impressed with how versatile the Terramar baselayer is, and how well meriono wool performs in a variety of activities.
