Speedo Skipper Seamless Tank Sport Top : Perfect for Summer

From the yoga studio to the track, the Speedo Skipper Seamless Tank is as comfortable and versatile as fitness tops get. Comprised of 92 percent nylon and eight percent lycra, this tank stretches as I stretch, wicks away sweat as my heart rate increases, and, with its seamless design, is soft and comfortable against my skin. The Skipper Tank has a built-in bra, offering medium support (i.e., larger-breasted women won't be nearly as comfortable running in this top as I am). Its thin straps add support without digging into my skin. I also like the racer-back design, wish is stylish and functional (offering medium support without compromising comfort).

During early morning runs and on chilly, overcast afternoons, The Skipper is the first top I grab. It keeps me warm, and I really like the long cut. It's the only bra top I've tested that actually covers my entire torso (I'm 5'9").

On hotter days, I choose the shorter Sport Top, a condensed version of the tank. With the exact same design and made of the same material, the Sport Top offers just as much support whether I am running, cycling, or practicing the Pigeon Pose, but since it cuts off at my mid-section, it allows my skin to breathe and stay cool.

Both tops come in red, black and white, in S, M, and L. I'm usually a M or L, and the size L tops I tested were a bit big.

Bottom Line: Between the Seamless Tank and the Seamless Sport Top, you're set for cool and warm-weather outdoor activities, not to mention yoga, Pilates, and other gym sports. --B.B. (June '06)
