Smartwool Hiking Med Crew : The Perfect Sock

I don't like thinking about my socks; I just want to throw them on and go. That's why Smartwool's Hiking Med Crew is one of my favorite socks.

After a long hike, I'm not thinking about them because they're not bunching up in my boot. An elasticized panel that wraps around the arch keeps my socks in place.

I'm also not thinking about them because the toe seam is undetectable , the socks grip my leg without binding, and the wool fabric does a great job of keeping my feet dry.

I often wear these socks every day for hour-long hikes, and because wool is naturally antibacterial, I only wash them once a week. (I'm doing my part to save water.)

I love the thickness of these socks. I feel like I get the cushioning I need without the bulk of a super thick sock. Another bonus--Smartwool socks seem to last forever. I have several pairs, and have never worn a hole through any of them.
