Skechers Biker's Step-Up Shoe : Strappy Style
The Biker's Step-Up shoe is the first pair of Skechers I've worn, and I'm wishing I'd discovered them sooner. What great style and comfort for such reasonably priced shoes. My years of wearing high heels with expensive suits to work are over because of Achilles tendon and plantar fascia problems (and a career change). However, just because my feet need practical and comfortable shoes, I still want stylish and feminine options. It's the fusion of feminine style with a comfy, tough walking/sports shoe that makes the Biker's Step-Up a real find. I love the asymmetrical, zig-zag straps on top, which are secured with Velcro for easy on and off. I've been wearing these mostly to the office, especially on the days that I go for lunch-hour exercise walks or errands. It's great not having to lug along another pair of shoes to change into. I was thinking back to the 1980s when women wore running shoes to and from work with nylons and fancy designer trenchcoats. We've come a long way in style and comfort. Thanks to Skechers, we have more footwear options! Of course, I get compliments from my co-workers when I wear the Biker's Step-Up, which is always the bonus of any shoe. Bottom LIne: The Biker's Step-Up is a winning combination of slim style and sporty comfort-- at a price I can afford.--J.I. (May '06) Price: $54. Manufacturer's Site: www.skechers.com |
