SIGG Outdoor Cutlery : Bon Appetit

I love tools and gadgets that come in their own cases. Like SIGG's Outdoor Cutlery, a fork-spoon-knife trio that folds into a Swiss Army-style knife, which fits into its own velcro-sealed nylon case, which I can wear on my belt or toss in my pack.

The stainless steel cutlery is pretty straight forward. I use the knife to cut my food (actually since I'm a vegan I mostly use the knife to cut open packages), or I use it like I'd use any outdoor knife blade. The blade locks into place, which is key.

Since I like to keep it simple, I usually just extend the fork when I need it; same goes with the spoon. However, if I want to be more civilized, the encasing comes apart so I can have three separate pieces of cutlery. Of course, it wouldn't be an outdoor knife w/o the bottle opener on the fork handle.

Bottom LIne: Compact, top quality, easy to use and to reassemble. A nice stocking stuffer for your favorite camper.--E.D. (Dec 09)
