Sierra Designs Radar L/S Top : So Versatile You Can't Take it Off
 |
Whenever my climbing partner and I headed up a trail on a chilly spring
morning, I could count on hearing his plaintive cry: "I'm cold, I'm
hot...I'm experiencing male menopause." It's worth noting that he was 27 when this began (a dozen years later he's still using the same line and, sadly, I still laugh). It's pure speculation, but my guess is that had
he been wearing Sierra Design's Radar long sleeve tops back then he'd have never looked to thermo regulation for bad-joke material.
That's because the Radar is made of lightweight fabric that breathes and keeps me cool but, thanks to the high-tech wicking properties, provides warmth as a first layer. It's ideal worn alone on a chilly day when I'm on the move. (Of course, if it's really chilly I recommend wearing pants.)
I've worn my Radar shirt running outside on a breezy 50 F degree afternoon and I've worn it while working t in my air-conditioned gym. But it has non-athletic applications as well. It's a comfortable layer under a wool sweater, adding warmth without bulk. Worn alone, it looks good over a pair of jeans. And the anti microbial treated fabric helps minimize stink - important in any environment, under any conditions.
Bottom Line:
Stylish and comfortable, light and breathable -- this two-toned long sleeve shirt is perfect for runners, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts prone to male menopause. --J.G. (May '08)
