Salomon Trail Pro SCS : Run Like the Wind

With winter a few months away, I'm relying on a trusted ski brand, Salomon, to get me through my pre-ski season training.

I've wearing Salomon's Trail Pro SCS trail running shoes for long and short runs on my favorite Portland area trails in Forest Park, on Mount Tabor, and on Mount Hood's Timberline Trail.

These lightweight shoes fit like a glove, and have a great ventilation system that helps wick away sweat and odor so I don't get blisters. With critical features such as knobby treaded sole and comfortable insoles, I can wear these for one mile or for 20.

My Trail Pros are dusty and dirty from a summer of running on dry trails, but I am not sure that they'll see as much action come winter since I'd like to have a shoe with more water protection, such as GoreTex, for the Pacific Northwest's long rainy season. The shoe do have a mud guard, which protects my toes.

The Salomon Trail Pro comes in men's and women's sizes and in many different colors. Check the Salomon site to find a shoe that matches your trail needs and fit. Go to www.salomonrunning.com .
