Prana Honda Pant : For Urban Adventures

I had an outing planned for my kids, a fun-filled day of bike riding that would most likely involve playing in the mud at some point.

Initially, I thought I'd wear shorts since the weather's been unseasonably warm here in Seattle, but when I saw the frost on the rooftops and lawn when I woke up that morning I realized it wasn't quite short pants season yet.   I knew it would warm up later in the day, so I wanted long pants that were warm enough for a chilly morning but cool enough to be active on a warm sunny afternoon. My Prana Hondo Pants were the obvious choice.

The kids and I met up with a gaggle of kid friends and their parents at the park. The slide and swings were still wet from overnight dew. We didn't have anything to dry the play equipment.   I knew that my Hondo Pants would dry quickly enough so I volunteered to be the first one down the wet slide and to sit on the wet swings. My bum was pretty wet, but my pants dried in a few minutes.

After playtime at the park and a picnic lunch we went for a bike ride. The button-up feature on the legs of my Hondo pants came in handy. I just rolled up my pant leg away from the bike chain and gears and secured it in place with the snaps. I love that. I'll never get grease on my pants again, and I don't have to fuss with a strap or deal with my pants un-rolling.

All in all, the Hondo pants have held up well to my many outdoor and urban outings. I like the casual fit and the lightweight material, and they clean up well.

Available in even waist measurements from 28" to 38".  Colors: Sand, Charcoal, and Forest Night

Bottom Line: An ideal pant for every day wear.--A.S. (Feb 10)
