PacSafe Metrosafe Shoulder Bag : Wired for Protection

Since my first experience four years ago as the victim of a pickpocket artist in the Milan train station, I've been determined to avoid such a theft again.  

Traveling by buses, trains, and subway systems is a great way to get around a busy city, but with that convenience comes some anxiety, too. Vandals and pickpockets thrive in these densely-packed scenes, slipping in and out of the crowds in search of easy-access bags and backpacks to plunder. Protecting valuables while surrounded by lots of people has always been a challenge, but not any more!

Imagine a light-weight, stylish, and attractive shoulder bag that's actually secretly made of bionic components to thwart the efforts of any thief ... that's exactly what I found with my "Pacsafe Metro 200" shoulder bag. The bag comes in different sizes (I have the middle-sized version), and it's the perfect travel bag for safely carrying my valuables: electronics, cell phone, iPod. It also discreetly conceals my new netbook travel computer.

With safety in mind, this well-organized urban travel bag features many anti-theft security features. It is made to resist vandals who might try to slash the straps or the lower section of the bag to make off with the contents before the unsuspecting traveler notices. Instead, the straps are embedded with high-tensile stainless steel wire, and the bag fabric contains a layer of woven stainless steel wire mesh that will stand up to most potential slasher's knives or blades.

Pickpockets will also be denied access to your valuables because zippers are all tamperproof. The zip pulls latch onto metal spring hooks or can be secured with small luggage locks to keep them together. To ward off purse snatchers while relaxing or dining in a restaurant, I just unfasten the metal clip of the slashproof strap, wrap it around the chair or another secure fixture, and reattach. That bag won't be going anywhere without my permission!

This handy shoulder bag is not only the perfect size and fully padded for my small computer or for toting important travel books and maps, but it also has plenty of pockets for my other electronic gadgets and their cords. The front flap secures the large main zippered compartment closed with hidden safety hooks.
