OR Venture Shorts : Bring on the Heat

When it gets THAT hot, you need to strip down to the essentials--the smallest shorts and top you can find.

OR's Venture short (the men's version is called the Endura short) is just the ticket: low rise, gusseted inseam, and quick-drying, UPF 30+ nylon fabric.

These sweet shorts have generous front and back pockets (mesh, so they're not bulky). The back pockets have zippered enclosures, which are are offset to the side for a stylish effect (also a handy design so you don't have to sit on them.) Available in Barley, Tarmac, and Sand, sizes XS-XL. I think theses shorts run a bit small; you may want to go up one size.

On top, I'm good to go with OR"s Mesa Tank, a cottony soft, breathable poly/spandex/cotton blend top with a built-in shelf bra (for A and B cups). The Mesa's designed to dry quickly and neutralize odors. I like it because it hugs my body but never binds. Available in Orchid, Lima Bean, and Delphi -- or red, yellow, and blue, sizes XS=XL. (Pictured top right.)

Bottom Line: Cute, stylish, and comfortable. My new summer uniform.--E. D. (July '06)

The first flashlight was invented in 1898. Joshua Lionel Cohen, original owner of the Eveready company developed the concept of using a battery to run a light bulb, which he shared with an Eveready salesman, Conrad Hubert. Hubert then turned the idea into a flashlight.
