NiteIze Tail Lights and Head Lights: Get Lit This Summer

Summer is near, and that means my favorite Portland events are also near. The Midsummer Bike Ride, a fun, family-friendly evening bike tour around the city, begins well after dark. Taillights and helmets are required, and many people go all out when decorating themselves and their bikes in order to be seen in the dark.

The infamous Hood to Coast Relay from Mount Hood to Seaside, Ore., requires running through the night and into the morning. Again, a flashlight is not only essential, but it's required if you don't want to get disqualified from this running race.
