NiteIze Clip Case : Holds Everything
Back when I was doing lake research, I learned that the only way not to lose things overboard was to attach them to my body with a lanyard. As I got busier (and more scatterbrained) I tried to apply the practice to everyday life. However, I discovered that wearing a veritable hula-skirt of lanyards with wallet, multi-tool, keys, pets, etc. hanging off my belt was not only inconvenient; it was a good way to get sent to the loony bin. Well, NiteIze has finally come to my rescue with a phone holster that can hold so much stuff it must have an inter-dimensional wormhole worked into the design. I took both the Small and Large versions of the Clip Case Plus along on my job at a local farm. Both Clip Cases are arrayed with a variety of elastic loops and pockets for accessories. I was able to cram into my Large Clip Case most of the stuff I carry in my bum pack: my Motorola V60i flip phone, a ballpoint pen, money, all my credit and ID cards, my penknife, my hankie, and a cheese stick (slightly smooshed but still edible by the end of the day). I even was able to clip my keys to the Tooth Ferry loop, which is meant to hold a wireless headset. All this packed into a trim 4.75"x2.75"x1.5" case! And it's so much more professional looking than my old lanyards. As for durability, the ballistic nylon is canine-proof (tested by a pack of farm dogs, who kindly raked my holsters with muddy paws, them mouthed them for good measure) and probably bomb-proof. After several days of mucking out, mopping, hauling hay, and fending off the 50+ dogs at the farm, my holsters still looked like new. The holsters kept my phone dry while I was working in the rain, too, though NiteIze does not make any claims about water resistance. The magnetic closure allows the holster to expand to fit taller phones: the Large was able to accommodate my husband's Motorola 120C, which is over 5". I was most impressed with the super-sturdy belt clip. (One dog tried to pull the case off my waistband; though my pants almost ripped, the Clip Case never budged.) The holster can be clipped to a belt or directly to clothing, or worn horizontally by threading a belt through the optional belt loop. Bottom Line: A nifty, rugged phone case with pockets and loops to hold all kinds of little necessaries. --N.W.
