Mountainsmith K-9 Cube : Compact Luggage for Traveling Dogs

My yellow lab, Roxy, and I are always traveling somewhere. Packing her dog food, bowls, leashes, toys, and snacks has previously meant tossing them into a cumbersome cardboard box in my trunk. Well, we're through with that vagabond-style of traveling because I recently discovered the Mountainsmith K-9 Cube, the perfect all-in-one pet luggage for pups and people on the go!

This fun, bright red travel kit contains a soft-sided waterproof food container that zips closed, collapsible food and water dishes, and even a flexible throw disk for some play time during our travel breaks. All of these items fit into the "cube,"a rectangular tote with a zippered lid.

The Mountainsmith K-9 Cube keeps everything together and organized with movable interior dividers on the inside and two large flat pockets on the outside. It also has deep mesh pockets with drawstring closures on each end that I use for stashing quick-access items such as Roxy's chew toys, snacks, and doggie potty bags. There's a clear flat pocket on the zippered top that's convenient for holding a trail map.

The Mountainsmith K-9 Cube is made of a strong ripstop fabric, it's an ideal size (15'' x 15'' x 7.5''), and it weighs less than 3 lbs. There's plenty of extra room inside for leashes, medicine, extra snacks, and even a small blanket. Best of all, it fits easily behind my car seat.

This canine cargo carrier came in very handy recently when Roxy had to stay with different friends while we were overseas on a long trip. With all of her gear contained in one compact bag, my friends were easily able to keep her things together and organized, thus minimizing their worries. I was at ease, too, because I used the clear top pocket to store her care instructions.
