Mountain Hardwear Corsica Convertible Pant : Active Fit for Outdoor Adventures

I change my mind often during a hike, so I need outdoor pants like Mountain Hardwear's Corsica Convertible pants that offer lots of options.
I can wear the pant during cool weather as is, with the option of tightening the hem tighter around the ankle of my boot with a nifty hidden toggle inside each pant leg.
If I need some ventilation I can unzip the sides of my pant legs from ankle to knee. And when it's really warm, I can unzip the pant legs and turn my pants into shorts. Nice. And it saves on packing.
I like the low-rise waist, which is lined with a soft microfiber, and gusseted inseam -- both features give the pant an athletic fit. I also appreciate the flat velcro-sealed pack pockets (perfect for keeping my i.d. and credit card in place) and the front pockets, roomy enough for keys and a lip balm. There's also a small hidden zippered pocket along the seam of one pant leg.
Bottom Line: Made out of a durable nylon fabric, these versatile pants are ideal for three-season adventures.--E.D. (April 08)
