Lara Bars : Wholesome, Nutritious, Delicious
I don't normally like eating nutrition bars because they're filled with sugar and chemicals. But every now and then I come across a bar that I think people should know about....and the Lara Bar is one of my favorites. It's made out of "100% real food." Lara Bars come in a variety of flavors, including: banana cookie, cherry pie, cashew cookie, apple pie, ginger snap, chocolate coconut chew, and cocoa mole. Each tasty bar is made from only a few vital ingredients. For example, the banana cookie bar is made out of dates, almonds, bananas. The other bars have similar ingredients: a main fruit ingredient bonded with dates and nuts. They're delicious. I was addicted to banana cookie because the taste was so clean and bananay....until I fell for cherry pie. The cherries are tart and sweet and full of flavor because they're REAL and not covered in sugar or preservative. At around 200 calories a bar, Lara Bars are ideal for trail or travel snacks. I eat one every day for breakfast with a piece of fruit and tea. Here's what some of my friends had to say about the bars they tested: Chocolate Coconut: "A chocolate lover's dream. Cocoa Mole: Spicy! Ole! This Larabar packs an attitude! If you were to look at the ingredients, you might be surprised to see chili powder among the list. Amazingly, the chili adds a kick that perfectly complements the cinnamon flavor.This bar is spicy. Cashew Cookie: Buttery, smooth, with a hint of sweet from the dates; best tasting meal replacement bar I've tasted. I find it hard to eat just one. I usually eat mine for quick bursts of energy before, during, and after my gym workouts. They also serve as a great breakfast bar on-the-run, giving me just enough energy to last through the morning.
