Keen Pyrenees Boot for Men and Women : On- and Off-Trail Support

I should know enough to wear the right gear when I head out on an adventure, but sometimes I just don't think! So, it's a good thing another tester's been wearing the Pyrenees Boot Keen sent us.

It's also lucky for me that my boyfriend is that tester because I've been getting a first-hand account on how awesome this boot is. We recently went for a three-mile hike at a local park, then decided to hike down to the beach. All good. Two hours later, we'd wandered down to the end of the beach. I was slipping all over the place because we were walking on the wet stone beach. My trail shoes just didn't hold up to the terrain. Meanwhile, my boyfriend was tramping along, climbing on fallen trees, hopping over tidal pools, stomping through puddles, and navigating his way over the seaweed-slimy stone with ease. My feet and ankles were getting sore, my socks were soaking wet, and I was getting cranky. His feet and ankles were fine, and totally dry, and he was happy and care-free. (Thanks to his experiences with Keen's Pyrenees Boot, I won't go through another long day in the wrong footwear again!)

The Pyrenees Boot has become his favorite boot because he gets the stability and support he needs to keep his feet comfortable on a variety of terrains without the bulk and weight you'd expect in a leather boot. In other words, he can walk on rocks and roots for hours without feeling them poke through the soles of his footwear. The boots are also waterproof, so he's good to go when we go off trail.

It shouldn't matter that these boots are so attractive but ..... who wouldn't like a boot that looks good with jeans and performs well on the trail (or beach). I love the smooth leather, the traditional metal ring lacing, and the padding around the top of the ankle.
