InSport Low-Rise Runners : The Perfect Shorts

As an avid runner, I'm not sure how I’ve managed to avoid trying on a pair of InSport sports until now. But good things come to those who wait.

When I first slipped into my InSport Low Rise Women’s Runners, I felt like I wasn’t wearing anything at all. They're loose, lightweight, and come with a low-profile waist that doesn’t ride up past my belly button as soon as I take my first step.

I began testing these shorts just when the days began growing longer and warmer in the Pacific Northwest, tempting me to ditch my running tights, more often than not, for my new shorts. It was also about the time that an atypically sunny winter was met by a month of uninterrupted rain.

I appreciate the Coolmax® Extreme shell of these shoulder season shorts. They can withstand the rain, and they dry in seconds. The low waist and 2.5" inseam aren’t as skimpy as some other competitive running shorts, providing a little extra insulation on cooler days. Women who like the all-in-one design will appreciate the internal briefs, made out of a moisture wicking and odor preventing technical fabric.

I wore these shorts while running the Vancouver Marathon, and by the end of the race, they were the only thing I was still smiling about.

Bottom LIne: Finally, a comfortable, quick-drying short that doesn't chafe or ride up! Available in sizes XS-XL, 7 colors. InSport also makes men's running and cycling gear. (B.B. June '05)
