Indigo Tuk 16 Performance Day Pack : Stylish and Tough
This unique, oval-shaped pack is slim, stylish, and streamlined--perfect for carrying my CD player and CDs (in the small, top pocket), folders and books (in a larger, main pocket), and my cell phone, pens and a few nutrition bars (all in internal organizer pockets in a medium sized pocket). My dark gray and cayenne Tuk pak is sophisticated enough to wear around downtown Seattle (unlike some of my bulky, sporty packs), yet still durable and roomy enough for the trails. When I use this pack on short hikes, I toss in a rain shell (I live in the Northwest, after all), a water bottle, my cell phone and wallet, and some food. I really appreciate the way Indigo designed the shoulder straps on this pack. They're cut in and fairly narrow across the chest, which allows good arm range of motion. I often wear the Tuk power walking on a 3-mile trail at Discovery Park, and I can really swing my arms freely and not chafe or catch on the straps. I also like that this pack feels so light. For safety purposes, there is reflective piping along the pocket seam lines that complement the color scheme. The padded mesh that lies against my back provides a cushioning layer and also helps prevent my back from getting sweaty on a vigorous walk or hike. Bottom Line: A hardworking pack with less bulk, more style.--J.I. (Dec '04) Price: $54.00 Manufacturer's Site: www.indigoequipment.com |
