Hi-Tec Women's V-Lite Cypress Boot : Who Let the Dogs Out?

With so many good hiking boots on the market these days, choosing just the right pair for my individual tastes and needs can be tough. I recently found a great little boot that I've been enjoying for my daily hikes with my two best buddies, Roxy and Lucy. These two Labrador retrievers are demanding walking companions. So, in order to keep them happy (and my feet in good shape), I need a good pair of hiking boots.

From the moment I slipped them on, these boots were instantly comfortable and needed no breaking in ... and that's a huge relief for me! Besides comfort, these boots also have just what I need for these daily walks - they are sturdy but also so lightweight. They're also water resistant, a nice feature for these rainy Spring days.

I've worn my Hi-Tec V-Lite Cypress boots mostly for hiking through forests and up and down ravines, and I have been very happy with them. The soles have the important strong grip needed for those slippery hillsides; traipsing through the mud and puddles along the trail is a lot of fun. Once I get home I know my feet will still be clean and dry, and with just a little blast from the garden hose, all the mud is washed away and they're dry by the next day. I wish my dogs were so easy to clean.

I definitely recommend these boots for light-duty hiking. They come in just one color - a nice earthy brown - and the sizes range from 5.0-11.0 with both full and half sizes to choose from. Hi-Tec also makes men's boots.

Bottom Line :  If you're looking for a comfortable and lightweight hiking boot or shoe for those weekend hikes in all different kinds of weather, you'll be happy with this attractive, sturdy boot.--C.E.W. (March 09)
