Griffin Screen Care Kit for iPad

Most protective iPad cases that fit snugly around the iPad to protect the edges and make it easier to hold are missing one important feature - a screen protector. Enter Griffin Technology's Screen Care Kit, which contains a thin, anti-glare screen cover and a soft cleaning cloth.

I was excited to test this product because I've very particular about my iPad. I don't like fingerprints on my screen! At first I couldn't find any instructions, but then saw that there were illustrations on the inside of the package to guide me. I started by cleaning my screen with the cloth to remove dust and smudges. Then, I peeled off the screen protector from it's package,and placed it on my iPad screen. It took me a couple of tries to spread it evenly so that there were no bubbles, so I was glad that the film was easy to remove and reapply.

Once I got the screen protector on, it is a wonderful iPad accessory. The iPad's matte screen still looks clear and colorful, and all of my finger movements were recognized through the protective film without any problems. It works just as well with a stylus pen, also. The film is quite thin, so my snug fitting iPad case still fit as usual.

What I really like about the Griffin screen protector is that it keeps finger prints from smudging my glossy screen. Also, I can read my iPad outside or under lights thanks to the anti-glare feature of the screen protector. I like that I can remove the protector and put it on again at another time. It's not just a one-time, permanent application. I found that very important because there are times when I want to enjoy the glossy look of my iPad, but there are other time when that glossy reflection makes it difficult to see what's on the screen. And we all know how annoying fingerprint marks are!

Bottom Line: I like having the extra protection and the ease of cleaning my screen--with or without the protective film--with a quick wipe.
