Goddess Sports Bra : Big on Support

Finding a supportive bra can be challenging if you're a D or DD cup. It's darn near impossible if you have a narrow rib cage and a DDD or G cup.

Most sports bra companies seem to think that if you're a size 32 or 34, your cup size will not be greater than a C, a D at most. Lucky for us thin but endowed women, there are some European bra manufacturers who understand our needs.

Enter the Goddess Sports Bra (model 5056)--available in a wide range of sizes (34-48) and cups (C, D, DDD, and G for each size).

I love this bra. It has a nice wide (about 1.5 inches) band, and four hook (!) enclosure, so once I put it on, it doesn't move. I also appreciate the adjustable wide straps -- no more red marks on my shoulders -- which taper in the back. Best of all, this wire-free bra has surprisingly supportive cups, which are fully encapsulating and at the same time, minimizing.

The Goddess bra is lined with an anti-microbial wicking material that keeps me dry and allows me to wear the bra for several workouts before washing. That's always a handy feature. Most of the time, I don't even put it in the washing machine, but just rinse it thoroughly when I'm in the shower. It's dry the next morning for my yoga practice.

For a bra that feels soft and flimsy right out of the box, it's incredibly supportive. I wear it for everything except running. (I think most women would feel comfortable wearing it for running; I have to wear my mashing no-bounce bra for that.) I've also started wearing it as my every day bra because it does minimize my chest (and because it's so comfortable).

The bra is only available in one color, white with gray trim. Note on size: this bra runs a bit small. I'm usually a 32DDD (is US bras) or 32F (in European bras), but wear a 34DDD in this style.

Bottom Line:  If you're sick of ill-fitting bras, wearing two bras to get the support you need, or giving up on certain activities because you can't find a good bra, try the Goddess.--E. D. (August 07)
