Fayreform Profile Perfect Bra : Contours, Comfort, and Confidence

So why bra reviews on an active wear review site? Because women who have big chests get tired of always wearing sports bras for everything. Sometimes, especially for travel and for those of us with an urban lifestyle, a lady likes to have a nice looking bra that also keeps her comfortable all day long.

Now, if there are women out there, like me, who happen to be an odd size, then we really need support. Actually, it's not that we're odd or even odd-sized; it's that many U.S. bra companies don't seem to understand that women with small ribcages can also have large breasts. Lucky for us, companies in the U.K., Europe, and New Zealand (home of Fayreform) do get it.

So, I wanted an every day bra that would support me all day long--especially if I wanted to do visit a few galleries, stop at the library, and pick up a few items at Whole Foods -- walking to all of these downtown locations. Fayreform's Profile Perfect Bra turned out to be a perfect fit in all ways.

I also wanted a bra that I could wear on a date with my boyfriend. I like the design of this bra because I can wear my low-ish cut organic v-neck tops, and my bra doesn't show. Nice. Also, nobody wants to get to that point of the night where they undress and they're wearing a sports bra. I love how I look in this bra so much that I love showing it off. In fact, my boyfriend recently said, "you sure love taking off your shirt." You bet I do. This is one of only a few bras I have that I feel comfortable being seen in.

It's a simply designed wire cup bra with subtle floral designs woven into the material and delicate scalloped trim along the underarms. I love that the cups are lined with cotton--nothing feels nicer over the course of a long day. I also like the support I get. For a lightweight bra with thin straps (not super thin, but less than an inch) and (only) three hooks, the Profile Perfect is incredibly supportive. The straps are adjustable, and I have three three rows of hooks so I can tighten the bra as it stretches with age.

At first I didn't understand why this bra was called a "t-shirt" bra or why it had light padding. A sales lady at Nordstrom was nice enough to explain that the bra both gave a woman a nice shape (which is key when wearing closer-fitting garments like t-shirts) and a smooth texture (i.e., when the weather turns cold, at least people can't see how your body responds). Good to know.
