Dunham Nimble Waffle Stomper Shoes : A Blaze on the Trail

I need shoes that fit, that will accommodate my orthotic, that will go from street to trail, and that will make my feet look beautiful.

It's a tall order to fill, but my Nimbles suit me just fine. Most important, these shoes have an excellent Vibram sole that provides plenty of traction on trails and on wet pavement (something I need since I live in rainy Seattle). Like their Waffle Stomper boots, Dunham has given the Nimble a hearty, supportive, thick sole that hits the right balance between stability and flexibility. The result is a nimble, lightweight shoe with a sole that's both supportive and well-cushioned. I can walk around in these shoes for a long time without foot fatigue.

I also like the bright orange color (the shoes comes in other, more sedate colors, too). Who said outdoor shoes had to be boring beige or ubiquitous blue? Whenever I wear my Nimbles, people ask me about them. Another bonus: Dunham shoes and boots come in a variety of widths in both men's and women's styles.

Bottom Line: I know a good shoe when I find one. I usually have trouble deciding which shoes to pack for vacation. Not anymore. The Nimbles take me any place I need to go.--E .D. ('05)
