Dansko Geneva Shoes : More Style, Less Clunk

I bought my first pair of Danskos ten years ago., and became addicted to Dansko comfort:   the way I can wiggle all my toes in the high, rounded upper; the peerless arch support; the forward momentum imparted by the "rocker-bottom sole." The almost two inches of added height. The fact that my feet never become tired in them. (On my daughter's very first day of school, I saw Danskos on her kindergarten teacher and knew it would be a great year -- or at least that her teacher would never be cranky because of tired feet.) 

Over the years I tried on other Dansko models, hoping to find the same comfort in a shoe that would not look quite so much like...a Newfoundland's paw.   But only the  clogs delivered the full measure of comfort and stability. Then I came upon the Geneva. With a relatively flat upper, a gently squared-off toe, and a smooth brown nubuck leather (with contrast red "stripes," I got the fit I was looking for in a more stylish, less clunky design. They've become my every day shoe.

Bottom Line: A comfortable, casual shoe that keeps my feet happy and I can wear to work.--B. U. (Aug '06)
