Columbia Roc Pant : Just the Right Fit

I've been looking for a pant like Columbia' Roc Pant for years. I wanted a slim cut, low-rise cotton pants that I could wear instead of jeans--on the trails (yes, sometimes I hike in jeans) and around town.
Made out of an enzyme washed canvas cotton, my Roc pants are a bit more substantial than thin summer weight khakis, but lighter than jeans. The slim cut looks great, and paired with a black top, I'm good to from work to a walk in the park to dinner at my favorite Thai restaurant.
I'm so happy that a Columbia is making women's pants with a more comfortable, athletic rise, and in a variety of lengths. I tested a size 10 long (33" inseam), and they fit like a glove. Another bonus, a small, hidden zippered pocket --an ideal feature for these traveling pants.
Available three colors, and in men's sizes.
Bottom Line: Great fit, attractive, soft cotton. What more could I want in a casual-work-travel-outdoor pant.--E. D. (July '06)
