I don’t usually wear sweatpants because I often find them overly bulky and warm, but the Outland Knickers by Carve Designs are different!
Made from organic cotton fleece fabric, this capri-length sweatpant is lighter in weight and more versatile than traditional sweats. I like the flattering cut; the knickers lie flat across my tummy and through the hips. I also like the Topaz color fabric, a lovely sea foam blue that goes well with sunny summer days and cute flip-flops.
The Outland Knickers are ideal for times I just feel like curling up on the couch with a magazine, but they're also totally game for impromptu yoga practices and other stretchy-pant-requiring activities, too. One day, I ended up wearing them to bed… then made breakfast in them the next morning, and kept wearing them when my friend called me for a few pitches of climbing at the local crag. I surrendered them to the washing machine reluctantly that evening.
The Carve Designs Outland Knickers are available for women in Graphite, Topaz, and Dusk in sizes XS-XL. The size Small Outland Knickers fit true to size at the waist, and were curve-enhancing but not super fitted around my hips. I’m 5’4," and they shrunk in length by an inch after a few washes and now fall just below the knee.
Bottom Line: These sweatpant knickers are so comfortable; I want to wear them for pretty much everything, from lounging to kick-butt yoga sessions.–L.B. (June ’11)
