Built NY Lunch Tote : A Sandwich to Go

Until my usual airline stopped serving meals, it never occurred to me to bring food aboard an airplane. But now, I do so whenever I have a long flight ahead of me.and Looking around, I see many of my fellow passengers doing the same.

My strategy is to bring something from home. Not only is it an economical alternative to pricey airport food, but a sandwich or salad assembled at home means fewer remnants in the fridge that might not survive until I return.

My Built NY Lunch Tote, a lightweight tote made of insulating neoprene (you know, the stuff wetsuits are made of), is designed to keep hot food hot and cold food cold. I’ve never taken hot food aboard, but I can vouch for the way it keeps cold food fresh and palatable for several hours.

What I love about this lunch tote is that it's stretchy enough to accommodate various shapes and sizes of food, beverages, and containers. The lunch-size carrier--one of several food and beverage containers in the company’s product line--has two compartments and zips open to form a placemat.
