Blue Canoe Santa Fe Skirt : Sassy, Sporty, and Stylish

I thought my little black skirt days were over. I was getting older, dressing up less often, and in the bad habit of just wearing the first cotton thing I found on my floor in the morning.

Blue Canoe's Santa Fe skirt made me reconsider my sloppy ways. This fun little skirt is made out of soft organic cotton that's thicker than a t-shirt, but not as thick as a sweatshirt. It's the perfect in between weight to compliment my shape and hold its own shape after many wearings (and washings).

At first glance, I was worried it might be too short for me (I wasn't sure I wanted to have a skirt that might require me to do squats to wear), but when I tried it on I was happy to find that I could wear it it low on my hips for a very comfortable fit. I like the wide waistband (that also has drawstring) and the contrast stitching beneath it. I've been wearing this skirt everywhere, and I'm taking it on vacation next month.
