Asolo Powermatic Boot : Hike in Style
I love leather hiking boots, but I don't always like breaking them in. That's why Asolo's Powermatic 200 boot is a great fit for me. Right out of the box, I wore them on a five mile hike. No hot spots, no blisters, just a nice stable ride. The full leather uppers feel great, and I like the dark graphite color....who needs more brown hiking boots? These simple, attractive boots don't feel bulky, the Vibram soles provides excellent traction, and the Gore-Tex lining keeps my feet dry on rainy day hikes. I like the thick, shanked, stable soles that have just the right amount of padding and support. They break easily across the forefoot with each step, while still providing protection from rocky terrain. I also like the quick-lace system on these boots. Available in men's and women's sizes, and in two widths. I found these boots to run a bit small. You may want to go up 1/2 size. Bottom Line: If you're looking for an all-around hiking and backpacking boot, try the stylish Powermatic.--E. D. (March 07) Price: $230 Manufacturer's Site: www.asolo.com |
