Alo Short Sleeve Mesh-Back Tee

I'm not usually partial to running in t-shirts. Tank tops when its hot, long sleeves if it really cold, but t-shirts never really find their way into my repertoire because running tees never seem to fit right.

They always seem to be just smaller versions of a men's tee, and they tend to make me exponentially hotter than a tank.   However, as enter into my third decade of life I am beginning to take sun protection more seriously. Even when I leave the house smothered in SPF 50 I still come back with tan lines after long runs on sunny days. And what takes the brunt of the sun? Shoulders.So, I have begun the quest to find running tops that cover my shoulders while not causing me to sweat like a glass of ice water.

The Alo short sleeve mesh tee is a great start to my collection. It actually fits like a cute little feminine tee I would wear anywhere, but it's made of technical, moisture-wicking fabric. It also has mesh panels on the sides and down the center of the back which really helps ventilate the top.  I really like the little cap sleeves.   They are just long enough to cover the tops of my shoulders and protect them from sunburn, but they leave my arms free from fabric.

The fabric on this tee has a little bit of spandex in it that gives it a nice conforming fit with a cotton-like feel. It also gives it excellent stretch recovery, so even after pulling on it repeatedly to wipe my face, it has never lost its shape.
