Allrounders Niro Shoes by Mephisto : Sweet Street Shoes

Ever since I was a teenage athlete, I have always appreciated athletic-inspired gear that combines feminine style with strength and toughness.

My Niro shoes are exactly as sweet and as tough as they come. They're well-designed, comfortable to wear, and most important, garner me compliments wherever I go. I love wearing shoes that people haven't seen before...and want.

The Niro is a fun, durable shoe that's part Mary Jane, part athletic shoe. I wear them to the office, out in the evenings, and around town. I like to go on power walks during my lunch hour several days a week, so I make sure to wear my Niro shoes on my walking days so I won’t have to haul an extra pair shoes to the office.

This is my second pair of Mephisto shoes (see my review of the Grizzie), and I’m just as impressed this time around. Mephisto pays extra attention to details. The result-- a high-quality shoe.  For example, this European styled and crafted shoe is padded to reduce pressure points. The outer sole features a cool, round knob on the bottom of the heel that cushions my foot with each step, an especially valuable feature for me because I am prone to Achilles tendonitis and plantar fascitis.
